9 Co-Lin athletes receive Academic All-American

WESSON -The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)has announced that nine Copiah-Lincoln Community Collegestudent-athletes have been named NJCAA Academic All-Americans.

Students with an accumulative grade point average of 3.8 orbetter on a 4.0 scale for 45 semester hours, completed three (3)semesters of college work, and lettered in one or more sportsrecognized by the NJCAA were eligible for nomination asDistinguished Academic All-Americans.

Receiving NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American honors areKimberlee Thomas of Bogue Chitto and TeAirra Wilbert of Hazlehurst,women’s basketball; Ashlee Richardson of Brookhaven and SamuelAaron Walker of Magee, tennis; Micah Davis of Wesson, football.

To receive Academic All-American honors, students must achievean accumulative grade point average of 3.6 -3.79 for 45 semesterhours, completed three (3) semesters of college work, and letteredin one or more sports recognized by the NJCAA.

Named as NJCAA Academic All-Americans are Summer Easterling ofWesson, Missy Paulina of LaPlace, La. and Devon Welch of BogueChitto, softball and Adrienne Brown of Magee, tennis.

Since 2000, Co-Lin has produced 36 Distinguished AcademicAll-Americans and 38 Academic All-Americans.
