Sherman Adron Hyatt

There will be “A Celebration Service” remembering the life ofSherman Adron Hyatt on Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at BeauregardMethodist Church in Wesson followed by a military honors ceremonyat Beauregard Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is assisting.
Following a brief illness, Adron passed away on May 8, 2009, atthe age of 80. Born Oct. 26, 1928, in Hazlehurst, his parents wereElisha and Ollie Mae Hyatt (deceased).
Also preceding him in death were brothers, Sonny Boy, Edward andEmory Joe; and one sister, Nell Perrett Hyatt.
After graduating from Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Adronjoined the U.S. Air Force and spent 23 years in military service,including a tour of duty in Saigon, Vietnam.
Adron is lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, JoAnnBarlow Hyatt; by his daughter, Sharon Hyatt-Armstrong and herhusband, Fred; by his son, Pastor Ron Hyatt and wife, BarbaraForrest Hyatt; by his grandson, Blake Hyatt and wife, YazminSantiago-Hyatt; and great-grandson, Logan Hyatt, all ofGainesville, Fla.
His grandson, Jordan Armstrong, went to Heaven several yearsago, so “Jordy” has lovingly welcomed his Pappa home.
Adron is also survived by his brother, Harold Hyatt and hiswife, Annette Hyatt, of Jackson, and many nieces, nephews andin-laws.
After retiring from the Air Force, the family moved to Wessonand Adron later retired from Copiah County.
People will remember Adron’s smile and his humor, but his strongfaith was his greatest attribute. He spent years in Christianservice loving opportunities to preach, but living foropportunities to share his faith. Adron Hyatt will truly beremembered as a man of God.
