Services for Edna Noble Lovitt, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.Saturday, April 18, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhavenwith burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Lovitt, 86, died April 15, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn on Feb. 5, 1923, to James F. Noble Sr. and Queenie WrotenNoble.
While at Brookhaven High School, she won the “Biggest News”journalism award. Mrs. Lovitt attended Whitworth College inBrookhaven for two years. She married, moved to Jackson and had aradio program. She then moved to Natchez and started painting.After returning to Brookhaven, she won the Lincoln County Art Showtwice. Mrs. Lovitt founded and ran Personnel South and later was arealtor.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Swep H.Lovitt Jr.; a son, Michael Noble Lovitt; and a sister, Sylvia NobleBentz.
Survivors are a son, Swep Hugh Lovitt III, of Memphis, Tenn.; adaughter, Lisa Lovitt Thompson, of Madison; a brother, James F.Noble; and her five grandchildren.
