Services for Bessie C. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. Friday,March 27, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inMacedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 94, died March 24, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn on Nov. 16, 1914, to Hiram Augusta Case and Betty JaneSmith.

She was retired assembler from the Potter Co. She was an activemember of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Women’s MissionaryUnion.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JeffieOscar Smith; a son, Reggie K. Smith; her daughters, Will Ann Fuglerand Gay Smith; her son-in-law, Robert Fugler; her siblings, RuthCase, Gladys Allgood, Jessie Arrington, Isom Carl Case, Clara V.Ballard, James Case, Ada Pearl Evans and Gussie Smith.

Survivors are a son-in-law, Donald Smith; a daughter-in-law,Charlotte Smith; her six grandchildren, Jeff Smith and wife, Rose,Eric Smith and wife, Mary-Beth, Les Smith, Bobby Fugler, BrianFugler, Deanna Smith and husband, Mitchell; her sevengreat-grandchildren, Brooks Smith and wife, Kyndal, Jeffie-BlakeSmith, Jeremy DeDeaux and wife, Bridget, Lindy Smith, Lauren Smith,Allison Smith and Andrew Smith; and her fivegreat-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith, Kayleigh Smith, AubreyBoman, Stoney DeDeaux and Lansley Grace DeDeaux.
