Cassie Annette James Begnaud

Services for Cassie Annette James Begnaud, of Breaux Bridge,La., are 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapelin Breaux Bridge with burial in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2. PastorBert Langley will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from7 a.m. until the time of the service. Both visitation services willbe at the funeral home.

Mrs. Begnaud, 39, died Feb. 27, 2009, at Lafayette GeneralMedical Center.

She loved her pitt bulldogs, who were her babies. Her favoritething to do was spending time with her family, nieces and nephews.While living along the banks of the Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge,she enjoyed fishing and boating when the weather was pretty.

Mrs. Begnaud was an excellent cook and everyone loved hercooking. Her happy spirit will be greatly missed but will always betreasured in the hearts of her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandfather, RudolphAllen; and her paternal grandfather, Jimmy Parnell.

Survivors are her husband, Cody Begnaud, of Breaux Bridge; herson, Stephen Guidry and companion, Cana Trahan, of Lake Charles,La.; her daughter, Ashlin Guidry, of Jennings, La.; her stepson,Cole Begnaud, of Breaux Bridge; her stepdaughter, Corie Begnaud, ofBreaux Bridge; her parents, Charles and Janet Allen James, ofLafayette, La.; her sister, Christie Guidry and companion, DustinFlorence, of Breaux Bridge; her maternal grandmother, JeanetteAllen, of Brookhaven; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Parnell, ofHouma, La.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sue and RickyBegnaud; her brother-in-law, Todd Begnaud and wife, Erica; hernieces and nephews, Luke and Skylee Begnaud and Carlie, Jada andTimothy Guidry; her great-nephew, Christian Guidry; and severalaunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Begnaud, Timmy Guidry, Jason Case,Johnathan Case, William Case and Stephen Guidry.

Aubrey Allen Cox

Aubrey Allen Cox, 82, beloved husband, father and grandfather,went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Feb. 28. Hisservices are 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Easthaven Baptist Churchwith burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Cox, of Brookhaven, was born on June 11, 1926, to John Coxand Cora Holley Cox.

He was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He wasretired from the Mississippi State University Extension Service. Hewas a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran ofWorld War II.

He enjoyed serving the Lord in the field of missions, which tookhim to Peru, Venezuela, Zimbabwe and Mexico using his love andknowledge of agriculture. His hobbies included traveling, playingtennis, quail hunting, fishing and reading history. Familygatherings and sharing time with good friends was dear to hisheart.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, MattieBelle Paden; and his infant son, Aubrey Allen Cox Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Catherine Owens Cox, of Brookhaven; hissons, Mike Newell, Marc Newell and wife, Jane, and Steve Newell;his daughters, Kim Oberschmidt and husband, Rae, and Sharon Holmesand husband, Sam; his sister, Joanne Cole, of Tupelo; hismother-in-law, Ruth Owens, 95, of Hazlehurst; six grandchildren;two step-grandsons; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephewsand other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to missions atEasthaven Baptist Church or other Christian missions of yourchoice.
