Services for Margaret Estelle Smith, of Mobile, Ala., are noonThursday, Feb. 26, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Chapel in Mobile withburial in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith died Feb. 21, 2009, at a Mobile health care facility.She was born on Aug. 19, 1923, to Clower and Verna Cain Smith.

She was a native of Brookhaven. She graduated from West LincolnAttendance Center and attended King’s Daughters Hospital NursingSchool prior to its closing because of World War II. She moved toMobile after her marriage in 1946.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband of 60years, William Jeff Smith.

Survivors are her two daughters; her brothers, Sidney Smith, ofWichita Falls, Texas, and Marshall Elaine Smith, of Brandon; herthree sisters, Hazel Anderson and husband, Howard, of Brandon,Maude Elsie Hollis Sisco and husband, Hollis, of Sevierville,Tenn., and Virginia Sisco and husband, Willie, of Hampton, Ga.; asister-in-law, O’Darria Loren Clem and husband, Loren, ofChattanooga, Tenn; her two granddaughters; and her threegreat-grandsons.
