Neva Marie Price Hendrick, 92, passed away peacefully onThursday, Feb. 12, 2009, surrounded by her family.

Neva was born on Sept. 11, 1916, in Columbia to Lilly and GeorgeArthur Price.

Neva was quite a woman, bringing laughter and adventure towhomever she met. She loved her family and friends passionately andwill be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, RialsPrice; her nephews, David Price and Jay Price; her sister, EthelRials; her former husband, Hal Hendrick; and her granddaughter,Donna Lynn Powell Smith.

She is survived by her brother, Jewel Price and wife, Grace, ofColumbia; a son, James Doyle Powell and daughter-in-law, Ann, ofBrookhaven; her grandson, Ken Powell and wife, Sherry, ofBrookhaven; her granddaughter, Sharon Powell, of Jackson; and hergranddaughter, Tina McGhee and husband, Jim, of Pensacola, Fla. Sheis also survived by her six great-grandchildren; her threegreat-great-grandchildren and a very special friend, LurleneDyess.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, atColonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will be from noonuntil 2 p.m. with the funeral service following.

A graveside service will be held at Riverwood Memorial Park inBrookhaven at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
