Services for Emma Scott Smith, of Meadville, are 10 a.m. Friday,Dec. 5, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burial inthe family cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 79, died Dec. 3, 2008, at The University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Meadville onJan. 27, 1929, to Jasper Scott and Callie Hamilton Scott.

She was a retired tax assessor for Franklin County.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and abrother.

Survivors are her sons, Jim Smith, of Roxie, Tony Smith, of theBunkley community, Lewis Smith and Robin Smith, both of Meadville;and a daughter, Emma Dianne Cobb, of Meadville; her 13grandchildren; and her 25 great-grandchildren.
