Services for Willie V. Davis, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Saturday,Nov. 29, at Pine Grove M.B. Church in Sontag with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Davis, 90, died Nov. 24, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lincoln Countyon Feb. 28, 1918, to Walter McGee and Annie Johnson McGee.
She was retired. She was a member of Pine Grove M.B. Church,where she had served as the mission secretary, a member of thechoir and on the usher board. Mrs. Davis also served as thechurch’s Sunday school secretary and as the church secretary.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WillieDavis; a son, Jeffery Davis; a daughter, Eugenia Davis; hersisters, Lucille McNair, Mozella Burns, Lauretta McGee; herbrothers, Cleveland McGee, A.J. McGee, McCullom McGee, Birks McGee,Woodrow McGee, Herman McGee; her granddaughters, Antoinette PowellKohlmeister and Ruby Jean Tatum.
Survivors are her daughters, Lillie Bass and husband, Leroy, ofWesson, and Delores Nelson and husband, James, of Harvey, La.; hersons, Charlie Davis and wife, Mattie, of It; Arthur Davis and wife,Mamie, Dennis Davis and wife, Linda, all of Oma, and Raymond Davisand wife, Tyjunnia, of Georgetown; her special grandsons, AlexanderDavis, of Wesson, and Quintin Powell, of Roanoke, Va.; her 30grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her 10great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
