Services for Ulysses C. Bryant, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 1, at Mt. Wade M.B. Church with burial in OleMacedonia Cemetery on Highway 550 in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Bryant, 78, died Oct. 27, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on Feb. 5, 1930, to Ulysses Bryant andFannie Lowe Bryant.

He was retired. He was a member of Mt. Wade M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ruby LeeBrothern Bryant; a son, James Brown; his sisters, ChristineColeman, Gennana Ray, Genena Glasper, Catherine Taylor and GertrudeRichman; her brothers, Leslie Bryant, Percy Bryant and Ray Bryant;and a special friend, Rosie Gilmore, of Brookhaven.

Survivors are his daughters, Dorothy Holmes and husband, Edward,Diane Harvey and husband, Michael, Rosemary Banks, Shirley Banksand husband, Charles and Kathleen Brown and husband, Furlow, all ofBrookhaven; his sons, Josecphus Bryant and wife, Linda, ofProvidence, R.I., Jermiah Bryant and wife, Mary, Willie EarlBryant, Vernon Bryant and Bernard Bryant, all of Brookhaven; abrother, Versie Bryant, of Springfield, Md.; his 25 grandchildren;his 43 great-grandchildren; his two great-great-grandchildren; anda host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
