Services for Willie E. Young, of Georgetown, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Oct. 4, at Galilee Baptist Church in Rockport with burialin the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mr. Young, 63, died Sept. 26, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Simpson County on July21, 1945, to Noble Young Sr. and Ethel Mae Bridges Johnson.
He was an offshore worker for ENSCO International OffshoreDrilling Co. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his father; and a brother, RichardRobinson.
Survivors are his mother, Ethel Mae Bridges Johnson, ofGlendora; his wife, Pearlina Young, of Georgetown; his daughters,Doris Harris and husband, Michel, of San Bernardino, Calif., KendraWest, of Hazlehurst, and Sharon West, of Terry; a goddaughter,Barbara Daggins and husband, Grace, of Monticello; his brothers,Jerry Bridges and wife, Nora, of Pinola, J.C. Robinson, ofGlendora, Paul Robinson and wife, Addye, of Minter City, and NobleYoung Jr., of Chicago; his sisters, Dora Lee Grant, Martha Greeneand husband, Melvin, Mary Lou Hodges, Louisa Stokes, all ofGlendora, Minnie Lou Langston, of Mendenhall, and Onetta Wesley, ofNew Orleans; his 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
