Memorial services for Louis McDaniel, of Brookhaven, were 1 p.m.Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. McDaniel died Sept. 11, 2008, at Wesley Hospital inHattiesburg. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 22, 1943, to FredMcDaniel and Ethel McDaniel.

He graduated from the Alexander High School class of 1961. Hewas a former employee for the Brookhaven Recreation Department andcoached softball for many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, M.L.McDaniel, Robert McDaniel, Billy McDaniel and Fred McDaniel; and asister, Cloristine McDaniel.

Survivors are a son, Kenneth Earl Lenoir, of Hartford, Conn.;his daughters, Tawana Lenoir, Sharon Maxwell, Jessica Fields andhusband, Varnell, all of Brookhaven, Grace Lackland and husband,Brandon, of McComb, and Charity Limesand and husband, Devon, ofMinneapolis, Minn.; his brothers, Leon McDaniel, of Brookhaven,Will McDaniel, of Shelby, Eugene McDaniel, of Pascagoula, JamesCarter, of Lansing, Mich., Carl Carter, of Saginaw, Mich., andJessie Martin, of Indianapolis, Ind.; his sisters, CoraWhittington, of Pascagoula, Barbara Allen, of McComb, AlfredaPatton, of Magnolia, Mary Bryant, of Brookhaven, Felicia McDaniel,of Brookhaven; his five stepchildren; his 11 grandchildren; and hismany nieces, nephews and other relatives.
