BHS Summer workouts

“We have real good turnouts. In the low days, we’ve had themiddle 60s. We’ve had a few dfays with 85 and 86 players. There area lot of vacatioins, camps and other activities.

Probably around 17-18 seniors. Bud Britt at quarterbck,Latarrius Williams at defensive end. Jarvis Wilbert atlinebacker.

Panthers work out four days a week. Workoouts are held at 6 a.m.and 8. Most of them show up at 6 because it’s cooler. Some of themhave to be a work by 8 o’clock.

Skill guys and linemen. One group in weight room and te othergroup is running. Then we switch.”

Run stadium steps, springs, agility drills.

We try to mix it up so we are not doing the same thing everyday.

Two days a wweek are upper body exercises and two days a week onlower body.”

Our kids realize the importance of it. When practice starts Aug.4, we want to be in good shape and be ready to practice footballinstead of worrying about conditioning.”

They are two quality guys who are going to do a good job forus.

Bowman will serve as defensive coordinator and coachlinebackers. Allen will coach the secondary.

Trevor Brister will continue coaching the defensive line.

They have a lot of pride in wanting the program to do well. Theywant the team to represent the school and town in the rightway.

There have been a few mini camps leading up to the camp.

All-Stars report Monday. Peavey will be coaching the offensiveline. Darion Smith a center in high school,

Aug. 4 is first day of praictice is afternoon about 3 p.m.School starts Aug. 6. First game is Aug. 29, hosting North Pike. OnAug. 21, Panthers in jamboree at Wayne County.
