Idella Thomas Johnson
Services for Idella Thomas Johnson, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at Norfield Bethel MissionaryBaptist Church in Bogue Chitto with burial in Bogue ChittoCemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mrs. Johnson, 93, died May 26, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on March 1, 1915, to Ike Thomas and MatildaMiller Thomas.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Norfield M.B.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, O.J.Johnson; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors are her sons, James Johnson, of Brookhaven, and RobertLee Thompson, of Bogue Chitto; her daughters, Beatrice McNulty, ofBogue Chitto, and Ruth Kees, of Brookhaven; and a host ofgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patricia Ann Montgomery Turnage
Services for Patricia Ann Montgomery Turnage, of Bayard, N.M.,were held on May 22, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Blytheville,Ark., with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Turnage, 63, died May 16, 2008, at Ochsner Hospital in NewOrleans, La. She was born in Blytheville on Oct. 29, 1944, to Elginand Betty Lemons Montgomery.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church inBayard. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyedyard sales, cross stitching, reading and needlework. She wasnostalgic and loved seeing old places and friends from the past anddoing genealogies.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, WilliamHoyt Montgomery and Karl Montgomery; and her sister, Betty JeanAustin.
Survivors are her husband, Donald “Don” Turnage, of Bayard; herdaughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Randy Sharp, of Tupelo, andShonette and Darrel Koebel, of Bossier City, La.; hergrandchildren, Laura and Brenton Froese, of McPherson, Kan.;Christy and Mandy Sharp, of Tupelo; Donny Koebel, Grace Koebel,Samuel Koebel, Stephen Koebel, Addie Koebel, A.J. Koebel, MarissaKoebel, Asher Koebel, and Judah Koebel, all of Bossier City; heraunt, Elizabeth Wilkerson, of Illinois; her sisters- and brothers-in law, Melba and Jerry Johnson, of Brookhaven, and Sally and J.C.White, of Sontag; and other relatives in Lincoln and Lawrencecounties.
Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.
