Clorine ‘Rena’ White

A memorial service for Clorine “Rena” White, of Pasadena, Texas,was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at Temple BaptistChurch, 3650 O’Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, La., with burial inResthaven Garden of Memories. The Rev. Glen Taylor officiated.Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs was charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. White, 89, passed away on March 22, 2008, in Houston,Texas. A native of Lincoln County, she was a resident of BatonRouge and Denham Springs for 53 years, and had moved to Pasadena in2007.

She retired from the Louisiana State Civil Service and was anactive volunteer with Capital Area Agency on Aging AdvisoryCouncil, RSVP, and 11 years with AARP.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jonathan Artice White;and her son, Donald W. White.

Survivors are her daughters, Vondell White Ashmore and husbandTalmadge Ashmore, of Owens Cross Roads, Ala., Cheryl White Lewisand husband John Paul Lewis, of Deer Park, Texas; herdaughter-in-law, Tillie Cowart White, of Baker, La.; sixgrandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
