George ‘Tip’ Fairman Sr.

Services for George “Tip” Fairman Sr., of Brookhaven, were heldat 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, at Siloam Missionary Baptist Churchin Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuarywas in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fairman, 56, died March 11, 2008, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Jan. 30,1952, to Anthony Fairman and Rosilee Fairman.

He was disabled. He was a member of Macedonia United MethodistChurch and a 1970 graduate of West Lincoln High School.

Preceding him in death were his father, Anthony Fairman; and hisbrother, Jimmie Fairman.

Survivors are his mother, Rosilee Fairman, of Brookhaven; hiswife, Lillie Mae Fairman, of Brookhaven; his sons, Greg Fairman andwife Vicky, George Fairman Jr. and wife Treina, Tyrell Fairman andwife Lucretia, and Troy McClendon, all of Brookhaven; his daughter,Felicia Fairman, of Brookhaven; his brothers, Charles Fairman andwife Judy, of Chicago, Ill., Anthony Fairman Jr., of Ontario,Calif., and Harvey Fairman and wife Emma, and Robert Fairman, allof Brookhaven; and his sisters, Elease and husband Bo Gearing, ofLos Angeles, Calif., Dorothy and husband John Smith, of SouthHolland, Ill., Jewelene and husband Harvey Waller, of Palmdale,Calif., Velma and husband Tony McCray, of Villa Ridge, Ill., Mableand husband, L.D. Jones, of Brookhaven, and Rosie Dodd, of SaukVillage, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Betty J. Nunnery

Services for Betty J. Nunnery, of Smithdale, will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home inMcComb with burial in Tangipahoa Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Nunnery, 77, died March 15, 2008, at Beacham MemorialHospital in Magnolia. She was born on Feb. 6, 1931, to Carl W.Robinson and Ira Bell Carraway.

She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, GeorgeWayne Nunnery; and her son, James Michael Nunnery

Survivors are her sons, John W. Nunnery and Fonda J., ofBrookhaven, Jeffrey G. Nunnery and Shannon R., of Liberty, andGeorge R. Nunnery, of Smithdale; her brother, Carl Douglas Robinsonand Pam, of Smithdale; her sister, Peggy N. Westbrook and Floyd, ofMcComb; her sister-in-law, Helen R. Neeley; her grandchildren,Jamie Colburn Nunnery, Heather Mathes, Lane Miller, Lacie NicoleBrown, Tish Ham, Rebekah Jean Nunnery and Colton Nunnery; her fivegreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends andother relatives.
