Fred White

Services for Fred White, of Brookhaven, will be held at 11 a.m.on Saturday, March 8, at Jericho Church of Christ in Loyd Star withburial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mr. White, 85, died March 2, 2008, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on May 10, 1922, to TommyWhite and Bertha White.
He was retired from Fleet Lofton Lumber Co., and also workedwith Columbus Lumber Co. He was a member of Jericho Church ofChrist.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rosie LeeWhite; his brothers, John Henry White, Willie E. “Dub” White andAlex White; his sisters, Ollie “OC” Goodwin, Earnestine Adams,Marie Mathis and Martha Robinson.
Survivors are his sons, Fred White Jr., and Elbert White andwife Renee, all of Omaha, Neb., and Clarence White, of Brookhaven;his daughters, Lorraine Jackson and husband Reggie, of Omaha,Thelma Mabry, of Riverdale, Calif., Martha Wilbert and husbandReuben, and Betty Coleman, all of Brookhaven; his 12 grandchildrenand 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
