Joanna Ella Barksdale Coleman
Services for Joanna Ella Barksdale Coleman, of Union Church,will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Pleasant Hill BaptistChurch in Copiah County with burial in the church cemetery.Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Coleman, 94, died Oct. 10, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn on Aug. 30, 1913, to Henry Decater Barksdale and Bertha MaeMcKinney Barksdale.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Springhill PentecostalChurch in Wesson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Sherrod T.Coleman; her sons, Sherrod Henry Coleman, Everette Truly Coleman,Jerry Wayne Coleman; her brothers, Shelby Barksdale, EveretteBarksdale; her sisters, Clydia Rosenbalm, Berniece Germany, ThelmaBarksdale and Mary Lee.
Survivors are her sons, William Leslie “Billy” Coleman and JoelStark “Starkey” Coleman; her daughters, Dorothy Gene Tuneburg, JudyTherese Edwards and Konnie Kay Speed; her sister, Iris Smith; her16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 11great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Susie Mae Fielder, of Brookhaven, will be held at3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Fielder, 84, died Oct. 9, 2007, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Oct. 20,1923, to James Dowling Smith and Perry Hinson.
She was a retired seamstress and a member of New ProspectBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Curtis L.Fielder; her brother, Lloyd Smith; her sister, Thelma Myers; andher grandchild, LeShe Chestnut.

Ms. Ford, 83, died Oct. 2, 2007, in Vicksburg. She was born inJefferson County on Jan. 20, 1924, to William Ford and RozennaFord.
She was retired. She was a member of Hickory Block MissionaryBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, ChristineClark, Mary F. Bailey and Gurlie Ford; and her brothers, WillieFord, Clem Ford, Clab Ford and William Ford Jr.
Survivors are her brothers, Marshall Ford, of Union Church, andGreely Johnson, of Houston, Texas; her special, devoted nephew andniece, Charles and Linda Ford, of Union Church; her nieces, MildredVirgil, of Wesson, Christine Rowan and husband Pernell, of Fayette,and Shelia Watts, of Lorman; her nephews, Joseph Ford, of UnionChurch, and Eddie Young Jr. and wife Marshilia, of Natchez; manygreat-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and her belovedpet, “Cookie” Bird.

Mr. Leeper, 60, died Oct. 8, 2007, at Lawrence County Hospitalin Monticello. He was born on March 14, 1947, to Alon Leeper andMary O. Connor Leeper.
He was employed with Kelly-Copper Welding Co. He was a member ofthe Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his son, Gerald Eugene Leeper Jr., of Monroe, La.;his daughter, Victoria Ann Dupont, of Start, La.; his brothers,Jerry Leeper, of Springfield, La., and James Leeper, of Winnfield,La.; his four grandchildren; and his caregiver, Dorothy Britt.
