WESSON — It’s a difficult, Thursday night challenge for theCo-Lin Wolfpack. Their struggling offense encounters the top-rankeddefense in the Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Collegeswhen the Gulf Coast Bulldogs invade Stone Stadium. Kickoff is 7p.m.
Just how good are the Perkinston-based Bulldogs on defense?
They’re No. 1 in rushing defense, No. 2 in pass defense, and No.1 in total defense. Also, they are No. 1 in turnover margin.
Gulf Coast (4-0, 2-0) is fresh from trouncing Hinds 61-0 atRaymond. The Bulldogs were led by quarterback Jared Foster, aformer Madison Central star, who scored 3 touchdowns.
“Gulf Coast has a lot of speed on defense,” said Co-Lin headcoach Glenn Davis. “They are a good team. They are high on theturnover ratio.”
