Services for Willie B. Brice Sr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 9, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery in Brookhaven.R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome, with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Brice, 83, died Aug. 2, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on June 30, 1924, to John Brice and BeatriceDaniels Brice.

He was a graduate of Alexander High School and attended AlcornAgricultural and Mechanical College. He was a retired roofer. Heserved in the United States Marines. He was a member of St. PaulM.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sons, Aaron CarlBrice and the Rev. Arthur “Curly” Brice.

Survivors are his wife, Marie Brice, of Brookhaven; his sons,Willie Brice Jr., of Brookhaven, and Charles Wayne Brice, ofCalifornia, and Michael A. Brice, of Apex, N.C.; his daughters,Mary Brice Dickey and Leonora Brice, both of Brookhaven; hisbrother, the Rev. Johnny Brice, of Haywood, Calif.; his sister,Josephine Williams, of Brookhaven; his 21 grandchildren and 23great-grandchildren.
