HATTIESBURG — The Lincoln County All-Stars quest for the DixieBoys Baseball League 14s State Champion came to a close Tuesdayafternoon.

Despite an excellent pitching performance from Tyler Case, MossPoint came away with a close 3-2 victory to hand Lincoln County itssecond loss in the tourney. The Lincoln County All-Stars finishedwith a 2-2 record.

Case struck out 11 batters and walked 3 in the loss. JosephKirkland earn the win, striking out 8 batters and walking none.

Lincoln County committed 3 errors in the game.

Moss Point scored a run in each of the first 3 innings for the3-0 lead. Lincoln County answered back with 2 runs in the top ofthe fourth to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Gabe Wilson and Joel Patrick led Lincoln County with a doubleapiece. Singling were Travis Keene, Cameron Barry, Travis Sorrelsand Case.

Moss Point got a single from Byron James and Jyravin Miller.
