Services for Jessie Putman Jr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, June 2, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Putman, 71, died May 26, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 7, 1935, to Jesse PutmanSr. and Cassie Bowman Putman.

He was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, KatherineKelly and Ruby Lee Hunt; and his brothers, Andrew, James and SeaveyPutman.

Survivors are his two daughters; his sisters, Elizabeth Putman,of Chicago, Ill., Frances Braxton, Inez London and Blanche Bryant,all of Brookhaven, and Louvenia Parish, of Detroit, Mich.; and ahost of nieces and nephews.
