Services for Jackie W. Harveston, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, May 3, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Harveston, 56, died May 1, 2007. He was born on May 21,1950, to Jack Harveston and Alice Howe Harveston Smith.

He was a retired oil field worker, but continued to sell andtrade skipjack bait.

Preceding him in death were his father; his brother, Alton WayneHarveston; his sister, Gail Harveston; his grandparents, Mamie andFred Harveston, of Brookhaven; and Earl and Mary Howe, of Winfield,La.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Conn Harveston, of Brookhaven,whom he married on March 6, 1974; his sons, Sheen “Big Coon”Harveston and wife Deanna, and Shane Harveston, all of Brookhaven;his daughter, Michelle Garcia, of Houston, Texas; his mother, MaryAlice Smith and husband Truly, of Brookhaven; his stepson, MichaelStuart and wife Debbie, of Morton; his stepdaughter, MichelleHarrell and husband Jimmy, of Morton; his brothers, FreddieHarveston and wife Ruby, and Jim Harveston and wife Darlene, all ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Carolyn Peppers, Judy Dykes and husbandLuke, of Brookhaven, and Dale Perone, of Jackson; his eightgrandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
