Funeral services for Billy Lewis Young, of Hanford, Calif.,formerly of Natchez, were held in Hanford on Friday, March 16, withburial in Grangeville Cemetery.

Mr. Young, 78, died March 9, 2007, after a courageous battlewith heart disease. He was born in the Auburn community in LincolnCounty on July 21, 1928, to Marie and Doc Young.

He was a former resident of Natchez, where he was employed withArmstrong Rubber Company until being transferred to the Armstrongplant in Hanford in 1967.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his loving wife,Velna Young.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Anne Young; his children, SandraEdwards, of Hartford Calif., and John Young, of CoultervilleCalif.; his brothers, Jimmy Roger Young, of Natchez, Loyd Young, ofSummit, and Marvin Glen Young of Vidalia La.; his sisters: SueMcCall, of Collins, Fay Silvio, of Baton Rouge La., and GailRushing, of Vidalia La.; his four grandchildren, fivegreat-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
