Shanon West ‘Lana’ Adams

Services for Shanon West “Lana” Adams, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Serviceis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Adams, 37, died Dec. 16, 2006, in Copiah County. She wasborn on July 3, 1969, to Mitchell Gordon West and Dora DianeWest.

She was a school teacher. She was a member of First BaptistChurch of Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Survivors are her father; her husband, Lance E. Adams; her son,Hayden Edward Adams; her daughter, Anna-Caroline Chun Adams; andher sisters, Anna Lisa West Ryals and Heather Elizabeth WestWalker.

Memorials may be made to the Children of Lana Adams EducationalTrust Fund, c/o Bank of Brookhaven, P.O. Box 889, Brookhaven, MS39602, or to the Chinese Children Fund, also at Bank of Brookhaven,at the same address.

Janet Phillips Ginn

Services for Janet Phillips Ginn, of Jackson, are 1 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Pinelake Baptist Church in Brandon withvisitation beginning at noon. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandonis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ginn, 62, died Dec. 15, 2006, at her residence. She grew upin Bogue Chitto. In 1963, she was crowned Miss Brookhaven. Sheattended the University of Southern Mississippi for two years.

Preceding her in death were her father, Harold C. Phillips; hergrandparents, Ferdinand and Ruby Phillips, and Harry C. and NolaParker.

Survivors are her children, Kimberly Ginn Cullum and husbandChad, of Birmingham, Ala., and Parker Ginn and wife Page, ofBrandon; her mother, Dinny Phillips, of Kosciusko; her threegrandchildren, Emily and Zachary Cullum, and Conner Ginn; hersisters, Brenda Phillips Monroe, of Mill Valley, Calif., and MaryV. “Ginger” Phillips, of Columbia, S.C.; and her brother, HaroldPhillips and wife Judy, of Summit. She is also survived by thefather of her children, Joe Kelly Ginn.
