Services for Wesley Scott Farmer, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Monday,Nov. 13, at First United Methodist Church with burial inPhiladelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Farmer, 44, died Nov. 9, 2006, at his home. He was born onNov. 23, 1961, to Oliver Matthew Farmer and Lonnie Dee HarperFarmer, both of Dry Creek, La.
He graduated from LSU with a Masters degree in dairy science. Heworked in the Louisiana Extension Service from 1985-1991. Herelocated to Brookhaven, excepting a position with MississippiState University Extension Service. At the time of his retirement,he held the title of professor. He was a very dedicated leader andsupporter of the Mississippi 4-H programs and was a very activemember of First United Methodist Church. He was also active in thecommunity assuming many leadership roles.
Survivors are his parents; his wife, Jeannie Simpson Farmer, ofWesson; his sons, Scott Matthew Farmer and Seth Ashton Farmer, bothof Wesson; his daughter Shelby Renee Farmer, of Wesson; and hisbrothers, Ken Farmer and his wife, Linda, of DeRidder, La., and DonFarmer and his wife, Wynnde, of Dry Creek, La.
