The comeback victory securedthe regular season championship for the bankers (12-1). Their onlyloss this season was to second place Smith Brothers (9-3) lastweek.

In the other league game last night, third place Regions Banksmashed Linton Glass 12-5.

Bank 8, King Chevy 5

Colton Laird picked up the win, getting 1 strikeout and 1 walkto his credit. Zach Davis fanned 2 and walked 2 in a losingcause.

At the plate, Laird led Bank of Brookhaven with a homer, doubleand single. Preston Shelton doubled and singled. Danny Ford, MattMagee, C.J. Duckworth doubled. Dehendret Collins singled as thebankers took a 5-2, third-inning lead.

Stan King’s arsenal was led by Zach Davis who doubled andsingled. Zach Williams tripled. Justin Fowler and Grant Burkedoubled. Kory Allen and Brett Buckles singled.
