Services for LeRoy Herring Sr., of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.Monday, May 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in HarmonyBaptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mr. Herring, 79, died May 27, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in Wesson on Jan. 15, 1927, to Clarence Herring and EdellWomack Herring.

He was a supervisor for Keystone Seneca for 27 years. He was anArmy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mt. Moriah BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, RubyDunigan; and his brother, Fred Herring.

Survivors are his wife, Katie Sue Herring, of Brookhaven; hissons, Lee Herring, and Richard Herring and wife Brenda, all ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Tawana H. Boyd, of Brookhaven; hissisters, Audrey Gerald, of Zachary, La., Laura Butler, ofBrookhaven, and Lonnie Herring, of Texarkana, Ark.; his sevengrandchildren; his nine great-grandchildren; and a host of niecesand nephews.
