Brookhaven Police are investigating an attempted burglary thismorning at the Brookhaven Country Club, said Chief PapHenderson.

Henderson said the alarm was triggered at 2:55 a.m. when someoneattempted to enter the facility. Police were notified of theincident at 6:24 a.m., the chief said.

“Glass was broken, the alarm went off and the alarm companycalled the owner,” Henderson said. “There was no sign of entry andnothing reported missing.”

The attempted burglary remains under investigation.
