John Sheridell Gills
Services for John Sheridell Gills, of Scottsdale, Ariz., are 11a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Ebenezer AME Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Gills, 53, died March 28, 2006, in Scottsdale, Ariz. He wasborn on December 14, 1952, to John Wesley Gills and Beatrice BryantGills.
He was a project manager in banking with the Federal ReserveBank of New York until 1978. He was a graduate of DillardUniversity, in New Orleans, where he was a member of Omega Psi PhiFraternity. He also worked with Club Mediterranee in Paris, France.In 1979, he worked at Dean Witter until 1981, when he joinedCitibank in Scottsdale.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his brother, Kenny Gills, of Jonesboro Ga.; andhis sister, Valuia Gills, also of Jonesboro; and a host of otherrelatives and friends.
Ruthlyn Case Morris
Services for Ruthlyn Case Morris, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Monday, April 3, 2006, at Riverwood Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Easthaven Cemetery. Brother Wendell Davis and Brother RonnieLofton will officiate.

Mrs. Morris, 71, died April 1, 2006 at Haven Hall. She was bornon May 3, 1934, to Elbert Forest Case and Mattie Ruth BoydCase.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Brookway Church ofChrist. She also attended Copiah Lincoln Community College andHinds Community College.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Fred BarryMorris; her son, Fred “Barry” Morris, Jr.; and her brothers,Forrest Case, Jr. and Davis Case.
Survivors are her daughters, Melinda Morris, Jan Garon and herhusband, Mickey, and Susan Calhoun and her husband, Carey, all ofBrookhaven; and her grandchildren, Maegen Calhoun, Summer Calhoun,and April Garon.
