Services for Ettie Mae Sisco, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 27 at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Wicker, the Rev. Philip Caples andthe Rev. Walter Sisco will officiate services.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Homeand Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Sisco, 100, died Jan. 25, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Jefferson County on Aug. 9, 1905, to F.O.Havis and Lula Martin Havis.
She was a homemaker and a retired dairy farmer along with herlate husband. She was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church. Sheloved to quilt and work in her garden.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MitchellW. Sisco; her son, Marvie Sisco; two brothers and threesisters.
Survivors are her sons, Walter W. Sisco and his wife, Yvonne, ofWesson, and Earl Sisco and his wife, Alice Anne, of Madison; herdaughters, Mary Gill, of Bogue Chitto, and Eula L. Nunnery and herhusband, R.H., of McComb; her daughter-in-law, Laurie R. Sisco, ofMcComb; her 10 grandchildren, Jerry L. Sisco and his wife, Janie,of Bogue Chitto, Sylvia Strahan and her husband, Bo, of Vidalia,La., Lester Ray Case and his wife, Hope, of Bogue Chitto, PamJohnson and her husband, Nathan, of Bogue Chitto, Sandra Strittman,of Jackson, Sharon King and her husband, Tim, of Summit, DannySisco and his wife, Rhonda, of Wesson, Tammy Porter and herhusband, Dwayne, of Wesson, Stephen Sisco and his wife, Christina,of Graham, N.C., and Sonya Cunningham and her husband, Tim, ofNiceville, Fla.; 22 great-grandchildren; five stepgrand-children;seven great-great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 11stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Sisco, Benji Sisco, Nathan Johnson,Lester Case, Danny Sisco, Stephen Sisco and Tyler King.
