Services for Ruby Patterson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Jan. 21 at St. Mark M.B. Church with burial in Pine Grove ChurchCemetery in Sontag.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Ms. Patterson, 81, died Jan. 17, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Sontag on July 7, 1924, to WilliePatterson and Rosie Neal Patterson.

She was a retired teacher. She was a member of St. Mark M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Johnny “Jerry”Patterson; two brothers, Johnny Patterson and Willie Patterson Jr;and two sisters, Etta Hilliard and Christine Markham.

Survivors are her two daughters, Ethel M. Richardson and herhusband, Alton, and Rosie Banks, all of Brookhaven; her aunt, S.T.Patterson, of Los Angeles; her daughter-in-law, Terry Patterson ofBrookhaven; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
