Services for John Brothern, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Thursday,Sept. 8 at Center Street Church of Christ with burial in Rose HillM.B. Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mr. Brothern, 71, died Sept. 4, 2005, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. He was born on June 14, 1934, to Willard Benson and MaryBrothern.

He was a retired logger. He was a member of Center Street Churchof Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, John D.Brothern; and a daughter, Gloria Smith.

He is survived by two grandchildren.
