Walter Delancy

Services for Walter Delancy, of Braxton, were 3 p.m. Sunday,April 24 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Chapel in Mendenhall withburial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton.

Mr. Delancy, 93, died April 22, 2005, in Wesson. He was bornAug. 19, 1911, to Joseph Edward Delancy and Cora Ann LewisDelancy.

He was a farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Ivan DennisDelancy; his daughter and son-in-law, Stella Louise Landrum and herhusband, James; seven brothers; and one sister.

Survivors are his wife, Gladys M. Shaw Delancy; his daughters,Betsy Stewart and her husband, Bill, of Carthage and Ola NellPatterson and her husband David, of Wesson; eight grandchildren;and nine great-grandchildren.

Patricia Lynn Ferrell

Memorial services for Patricia Lynn Ferrell are 2 p.m. Tuesday,April 26 at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Ms. Ferrell, 58, died June 25, 2004, in Grand Prairie, Texas.She was born in McComb on April 26, 1946, to Winnie and LowellFerrell.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her two sisters, Kay Wilkinson and Kirby AnnFerrell, both of Kerrville, Texas; a brother-in-law, DouglasWilkinson, of Kerrville; a daughter, Monica McGrew Thibodeaux; ason-in-law, Robert James Thibodeaux, of Grand Prairie; and a son,Robert Ferrell Hair.

Winnie Maude Ferrell

Memorial services for Winnie Maude Ferrell, of Kerrville, Texas,are 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb.The Rev. Bob Lynch will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Ferrell, 86, died Oct. 17, 2004. She was born in Brookhavenon Nov. 19, 1917, to Brittie LaPearl Strange and MarshallGivens.

She was a 57-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Herhome chapter was the Gussie Evans Chapter No. 243 O.E.S. inMagnolia. She and her husband Lowell were active for many yearswith the Eastern Star.

They were longtime residents of Fernwood. Upon retirement, theymoved to Baytown, Texas, to be closer to their daughters. Whileliving in Baytown, Mrs. Ferrell was an active member of Cedar BayouBaptist Church.

In June 1989, she moved to Prunedale, Calif., to live with herdaughter, Kirby Ann. In June 1999, they moved to Kerrville, whereMrs. Ferrell lived until her death.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, KirbyLowell Ferrell; a brother, Robert “Bob” Earl Givens; a daughter,Patricia Lynn Ferrell; and a grandson, Kirby Lewis Wilkinson.

Survivors are her two daughters, Kirby Ann Ferrell and Nancy KayWilkinson and her husband, Douglas R. Wilkinson; twogranddaughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Wilkinson and Monica AnnThibodeaux and her husband, Robert James Thibodeaux; a grandson,Robert Ferrell Hair; two great-grandsons, Colby Ryan Wilkinson andJonathan Joseph Willemin; a great-great grandson, Canaan RyanMcKiernan; a sister-in-law, Bennie R. Givens; several half-brothersand half-sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

R.T. Freeman Sr.

Services for R.T. Freeman Sr., of Brookhaven, formerly ofCaseyville, are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at St. Paul M.B.Church on the River with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 7 p.m., with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Freeman, 96, died April 20, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Copiah County on July 3, 1908, to Jonah Freeman and MandyFreeman.

He was retired and a member of St. Paul on the River Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, ClaraFreeman; his sisters, Cora Bailey, Dora Robinson and Annie LeeLittleton; and her grandson, Charlie Freeman.

Survivors are his daughters, Mandy Wesley and her husband, ElderRoosevelt Wesley, of Indianapolis, Ind., Dora Mae Brown and herhusband, Dan Brown Jr., of Indianapolis, Ola Coates, of Brookhaven,and Alice Sinclair, of Atlanta; his sons, R.T. Freeman Jr. and hiswife, Nora Freeman, of Brookhaven, and Arther Freeman, and hiswife, Mary Freeman, of Brookhaven; his brother, Evans Robinson, ofPort Gibson; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; 11great-great-grandchildren; and fourgreat-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and otherrelatives.
