David R. Rigdon

Graveside services for David R. Rigdon, of Laurel, are 10 a.m.Thursday, April 14 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. CommunityFuneral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rigdon, 50, died April 10, 2005, at Forrest General Hospitalin Hattiesburg. He was born in Houma, La., on Oct. 9, 1954, toAudie Clarke Rigdon and Alma Burcham Nuckols.

He was an oil field worker with Chelsley Pruett DrillingCompany.

Survivors are his wife, Joann Rigdon, of Laurel; his daughters,Karman Rigdon, of Naples, Fla., Teresa Carr, of Laurel, and ShanaFloyd, of Brookhaven; his sons, Clayton Rigdon, of North Carolina,and David Dewayne Rigdon, of Laurel; his sister, Kim Perry, ofShubuta; his brother, Cory Nuckols, of Cameron, La.; one niece andone nephew.

Vera Florine White

Services for Vera Florine White, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. Friday,April 15 at Wesson Presbyterian Church with burial in the WessonCemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. White, 86, died April 11, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Copiah County on Nov. 4, 1918, to Milton N. Storey andGrace Vaughn Storey.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Wesson PresbyterianChurch and the Eastern Star, Wesson Chapter.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul LeeWhite; her brothers, James Storey, Paul Storey, Robert “Mickey”Storey, Charles Storey and Billy Carter; and her sister AnnePerrit.

Survivors are her daughters, Florine Rayborn and her husband,Rueben, of Picayune, and Joyce Meyers and her husband, Billy, ofSpring Hill, Fla.; her sons, Paul Milton White and his wife,Carolyn, of Jackson, Bob White and his wife, Nancy, of Rockledge,Fla., and Jerry L. White and his wife, Sandra, of Loxley, Ala.; hersister, Faye Offner, of Denham Springs, La.; 13 grandchildren; and16 great-grandchildren.
