Services for Wilda Hancock Cothren of Meadville are 2 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 1 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville withburial in Middleton Creek Church Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. atthe funeral home.

Mrs. Cothren, 81, died Dec. 30, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County on Aug. 28,1923, to Thomas Jefferson Hancock and Linnie Pittman Hancock.

She was retired from the State of Mississippi Department ofHuman Services. She was a member of Middleton Creek PrimitiveBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, WalterAllen and Jewell Cothren; one sister; and five brothers.

Survivors are her sister, Johnny Parsons of Bogue Chitto; and ahost of nieces, nephews and friends.
