Services for Alfred P. Hutto of Florida, formerly of Meadville,are 10 a.m. today, Dec. 24 at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb withburial in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale.
Visitation is today from 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hutto, 92, died Dec. 20, 2004, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Hewas born in Monroe, Miss., on Aug. 7, 1912, to James H. Hutto andBitha Murray Hutto.
He was retired from Elgin Air Force Base as an aircraftmechanic. He served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II.He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was known as “UnclePete.”
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, LawrieceH. Hutto.
Survivors are his nieces, Mada Gittinger of Baton Rouge, La.,and Bette Carroll of Montgomery, Ala.; two nephews, Glen Jones ofBrookhaven and Major Bob Jones of Baton Rouge; one sister-in-law,Alyenne Hutto of McComb; and his caregivers of many years, Jim andGinny Pearce of Shalimar, Fla.
