The DAILY LEADER and Bank of Brookhaven have once again joinedforces this holiday season to aid food pantries that provide forthe less fortunate of our community.
This year, money raised will go to the St. Vincent de PaulMinistry of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, BrookhavenOutreach Ministries and Union Hall Baptist Church.
These charities do so much with so little throughout the yearand rely on the generosity of area residents and businesses todonate the funds they need to keep their ministries going.
As of today Friday, the Holiday Food Pantry drive had raised$1,585 – a good start but well short of last year’s $7,800.
There is still time to help us reach this year’s goal and giveback to our community. Donations will be accepted through De. 17,so money may be presented to the food pantries beforeChristmas.
You may drop off your donation at Bank of Brookhaven, 411Brookway Boulevard, or at The DAILY LEADER, 128 N. Railroad Ave.Make checks payable to Holiday Food Pantry.
Each donation will be recognized on the front page of thenewspaper, and, most importantly, donors will have the satisfactionof knowing they’ve made a difference in a neighbor’s life thisholiday season.
Please help us help those who need it most.
