Services for Thelma “Thet” Gatlin Maxwell of Rankin County are 2p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Willie Mae Tyler Memorial Chapel with burialin Friendship M.B. Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Maxwell, 74, died Nov. 28, 2004, at Whitfield MedicalSurgical Hospital in Whitfield. She was born in Lincoln County onJuly 30, 1930, to Walter Gatlin and Vinie Mitchell Gatlin.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Josie MaeHerring; and one brother, John Gatlin.

Survivors are her husband, M.L. Maxwell; her brothers, IsaiahGatlin of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Steve Gatlin of Portland,Ore.; her niece, Alean Smith of Brookhaven; and a host of othernieces and nephews.
