Services for Elaine Boyd Colson of McComb are 2 p.m. Friday,Nov. 12 at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial inHollywood Cemetery. The Revs. Tracey Hipps and Ted Bowlin willofficiate.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Colson, 75, died Nov. 10, 2004, at Beacham MemorialHospital in Magnolia. She was born in Summerdale, Ala., on June 26,1929, to Clarence and Ruth McKenzie McKlemurry.
She worked in Pike County for many years as an LPN until herretirement at Beacham Memorial Hospital in 1995. She was organistfor Locust Street Baptist Church for many years and was a currentmember of South McComb Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Victor William Boyd; her second husband, Charles Colson; herbrother, Arthur Lloyd McKlemurry; and a daughter-in-law, BettyBoyd.
Survivors are her daughters, Margaret Jean Mora and her husband,Manuel, of Texas, Mary Ruth Murchie of McComb, and Carolyn SueMcKinley and her husband, Thomas Earl, of McComb; her sons, JohnWilliam “Billy” Boyd and his wife, Sheila, of McComb, and ThomasRay Boyd of Pearl; her sisters, Thelma Kehoe of Gautier, La., RuthNardella and her husband Gerald, of Palm Harbor, Fla., andClareatha Bankston of Franklinton, La.; her brother, Jerome CarlMcKlemurry and his wife, Doris, of Columbia; 11 grandchildren; and15 great-grandchildren.
