Services for Alois Holmes Gill of Battle Creek, Mich., formerlyof Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at New Zion UnionM.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Gill, 96, died Sept. 8, 2004, in Battle Creek. She was bornto Alfred E. Holmes and Emma J. Holmes.

She was a member of New Zion Union M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, SylvesterGill; her son, Alvin B. Moore; her three brothers, Jodie Holmes,Sammie J. Holmes and Robert Holmes; her four sisters, AlbertaMcCall, Lillian Dillon, Sophonia Allen and Genevena Malone; hergranddaughter, Kim Bullock Joseph; and her son-in-law, Rev. CliftonBullock.

Survivors are her two daughters, Bonnie Bullock of Battle Creek,and Ruby Lee Lewis of Detroit, Mich.; her daughter-in-law, OliviaBullock; her sister-in-law, Mynell Holmes of Bogue Chitto; 33grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
