Services for Mack Fon McCoy of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday,Aug. 16, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. at Tyler FuneralHome.
Mr. McCoy, 68, died Aug. 12, 2004, at Haven Hall Nursing Center.He was born in Brookhaven on Aug. 23, 1935, to Walter McCoy andQueen Ester Sanders McCoy.
He was a former truck driver for Southern Wholesale. He alsoworked for Brookhaven Public Schools and as a construction workerin Alabama. He was a decorated Marine. He was a member of MacedoniaMissionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sundayschool teacher and finance officer. He was a member of the St. MarkMasonic Lodge No. 24.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Milton FrederickMcCoy; a sister, Margie Byrd, and a brother, W.L. McCoy.
Survivors are his wife, Beatrice McCoy of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Sheila McCoy Sartin and Maxine McCoy Jones, both ofBrookhaven, and Vicki McCoy Kelly and Janice McCoy, both of BatonRouge, La.; his son, David McCoy of Brookhaven; eight grandchildrenand one great-grandchild.
