Eula Mahaffey
Services for Eula Mahaffey of Monticello are 2 p.m., Tuesday,Aug. 10, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Monday from 1-9 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Mahaffey, 69, died Aug. 7, 2004, at Forrest GeneralHospital in Hattiesburg. She was born in Lawrence County on Feb.21, 1935, to Wilmer Neal and Bulah Davis Neal.
She was a people greeter at Wal-Mart. She was a member ofMonticello Methodist Protestant Church.
Preceding her in death were her father; her husband, Albert PaulMahaffey; one sister; and one brother.
Survivors are her mother; her daughter, Theresa Jones and herhusband, Ronnie, of Monticello; her son, Tracy Albert Mahaffey andhis wife, Pepper Mahaffey, of Monticello; her sister, Junene Connof Topeka; her brother, John T. Neal of Monticello; hergrandchildren, Ronda Cary, Cathy Williams, Kyle Mahaffey andChristy Mahaffey; her great grandchildren, Ryan Williams, RaeannaWilliams, Nicholas Cary and Joshua Cary.
Lillian Virginia Price
Services for Lillian Virginia Price of Mobile, Ala., are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile with burial inPine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Price, died Aug. 5, 2004, in Louisiana.
She was a native of Mississippi.
Survivors are her granddaughter, Kathy Brown of Atlanta, Ga.;her grandsons, Donald Terry Price Jr. and Russell Clay Price, bothof Louisiana; two great granddaughters; several nieces, a nephewand other relatives.
Gertrude Segrest
Services for Gertrude Segrest of Union Church are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, August 10, at Union Church Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30-11 a.m.at the church.
Mrs. Segrest, 84, died Aug. 8, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Union Church on Nov. 9, 1919, to James Bailey Stroud andJosie Buie Stroud.
She was a garment factory seamstress. She was a member of UnionChurch Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert O.Segrest Sr.; her brother; and her son, Robert O. Segrest Jr.
Survivors are her daughters, Marie Clark of Ruth, Josie AliceRushing of Union Church, Jonnie Taylor of Union Church, VirginiaSegrest of Natchez and Mattie Huff of Union Church; her sister,Mattie Mosley of Mobile, Ala.; her sister-in-law, Velma Stroud ofGreenville; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 25great-great grandchildren.
