Services for Daniel Boone of McComb are 3 p.m., Sunday, July 11,at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial in West LawnCemetery in New Orleans, La.
Visitation is Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Boone, 71, died July 9, 2004, at Veteran’s Hospital inJackson. He was born on June 29, 1933, to Bill Blanke and RosieBlanke.
He was a veteran of the Air Force.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, VirginiaBrooks.
Survivors are his cousins, Bobby Nethery of Alabama and ClaranceNethery of Florida; and his life long friends, Bob and MargaretOwens, and Bobby and Katherine Owens, all of McComb, Ivy and LynnOwens of Thibodeaux, La., and Earl Gravin of Tennessee.
Wilma R. Hicks
Services for Wilma R. Hicks of Monticello are 2 p.m., Monday,July 12, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church with burial inBethshan Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m., at the church.
Mrs. Hicks, 83, died July 10, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center.She was born in Monticello on April 1, 1921, to Roan Ready and EllaMae Powell.
She was a retired deputy chancery clerk for Lawrence County with35 years of service. She was owner of Hicks Cafe for 25 years. Shewas past president of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member ofMonticello Methodist Protestant Church, where she was a member ofW.M.S.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, A.D.Hicks; and three brothers.
Survivors are her daughter, Rebecca Boyd of Monticello; hersisters, Irene Dorien of Boston, Mass, Martha Nell Smith ofLafayette, La., Zella Mae Hartzog and Ella Mae James, both ofJohnson City, Tenn., and Dorett Hartzog of Pascagoula; threegrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and fourgreat-great-grandchildren.
Warren J. Sellers
Services for Waren J. Sellers of Brookhaven are 10 a.m., Monday,July 12, at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial inPleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 6-10 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Sellers, 70, died July 9, 2004, at his son’s residence. Hewas born in SoSo on June 15, 1934, to Robert Sellers and RosieKilgore.
He was a retired welder. He was a member of Central BaptistChurch.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lucky Maxwell Sellers ofBrookhaven, his daughters and sons-in-law Jackie and Joel Melton ofClinton, and Sandy and Rusty McKee of Brookhaven; his sons anddaughter-in-law, Dacey Sellers of Brookhaven, and Barry and SherrySellers of Vicksburg; his sister, Lena Faye Ponder of Collins; hisbrothers, John Lee Sellers and Kenneth Ray Sellers, both ofCollins; and his grandchildren, Trista and Treasure Melton, Arronand Amber Sellers, Megan and Chelsey Bedwell, and Penny and SamMcKee.
