BUDE – Headlined by coaches Terry D’Avy, Janet Good, and LavellGood, the 2004 Franklin County Major League Dixie Youth BaseballAll-Stars have been announced.

Making the 13-member team were the following: Ryan Holland, WillHalford, Adiel Vasquez, Matt Magee, Brandon Good, DeHendrickCollins, Justin D’Avy, Josh Evans, Milton Griffin, Joey Shelton,Josh Jackson, and Casey Lofton.

The team will begin practice later this month, and will host theSouthwest Sub-District Tournament at Bude’s Leroy “Cowboy” JonesMemorial Field from July 9-14.

Regular season awards

Bank of Franklin won the league championship for the secondstraight year, as they established a 14-1 mark overall. The teamwas coached by Charlie Magee, Charles Magee Sr., and KurtMagee.

Individual awards went to pitcher Matt Magee of Bank of Franklinfor going 11-0 on the mound this season. Magee won the league’sbest pitcher award.

Collins received the league’s best offensive player and battingawards, while Casey Lofton was awarded the sportsmanship award.Justin D’Avy received second place plaques for hitting andpitching.
