PCS golfers take first; BA fourth in South AA

Presbyterian Christian School of Hattiesburg shot a team scoreof 301 Monday to capture the Academy South State AA Golf Tournamentat the Brookhaven Country Club. Brookhaven Academy served as thehost team and the Cougars finished fourth with a score of 330.
Taking second place was Prairie View followed by Central Hindsin third with a 321. Following Brookhaven in fifth with a 357 wasColumbia Academy. Shooting a 361 for sixth was Simpson County andtaking seventh was Silliman Institute with 368.
Austin Bowen (72) of Presbyterian Christian and Heath Hines (72)of Prairie View both shot 2-over par and went to a playoff formatch medalist honors. Bowen won the playoff.
Leading BA with an 83 each were Will Hodges and Scott Boyd.Jeffrey White shot an 80. Hunter Wilson fired in an 84. JohnRushing followed with an 86 followed by John T-Boy Lynch with a95.
The top four teams advance to the State AA Tournament nextweek.
