FLORENCE — The Brookhaven Panthers defeated Florence 4-1Tuesday in a varsity tennis match. They triumped in straight setsin boys doubles, girls doubles, mixed doubles and girlssingles.

Brookhaven (3-1) plays its first home match Thursday on the CityCourts, starting at 4 p.m. The Panthers lost to Madison Central 3-2last week and the Tupelo was rained out.
