Candies Barlow
Services for Candies Barlow of Wesson are 2:30 p.m., Friday,Jan. 23, at St. Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from noon until 6 p.m., with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.
Mrs. Barlow, 75, died Jan. 15, 2004, at University MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born in Montgomery, Ala., to Ike andRuth Zinnerman.
She was retired, and was a member of St. Peter Rock MissionaryBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EmanuelBarlow; and two sons, Leroy Barlow and Charles Barlow.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Donnis and SamSmith, Theresa and Walter Smith, and Cathy Barlow, all of Wesson,and Denise and John Bryant of Brookhaven; her sons anddaughters-in-law, Alton Sallie and Jackie Barlow, both of Wesson,James and Stein Sallie of Forrest, and Fredderick and Shasta Barlowof Morton; her sisters, Katie Ellis of Indianapolis, Ind., NellieBrown of Mansfield, La., and Loretta Thomas of Wesson; 30grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Rose Mary Buffington Rippy
Services for Rose Mary Buffington Rippy of McComb are 1 p.m.,Thursday, Jan. 22, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inStewart Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., at thefuneral Home.
Mrs. Rippy, 64, died Jan. 20, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on June 23, 1939, to Lonnie Boyd and JessieBardwell Boyd.
She was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her father, a brother and asister.
Survivors are her mother, Jessie Bardwell Boyd of Brookhaven;her husband, Robert L. Rippy of McComb; her children and spouses,Mr. and Mrs. James Buffington, Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Holcomb, Mr.and Mrs. Joe Buffington, Mr. and Mrs. Wren Rollins, and Mr. andMrs. Tim Hodges, all of Bogue Chitto, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh VanLandingham of McComb; her stepchildren, Carlos and Joyce Wallace ofSummit, Bobbie and Dalvis Rawls of McComb, and Susan Rippy andLarry Rippy, both of Brookhaven; her sister, Helen Bigner ofSummit; her brother, Jimmy Boyd of Summit; and 15grandchildren.
