Services for Nell Ainsworth Swilley of Brookhaven were 10 a.m.,Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Lumberton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Swilley, 85, died Dec. 22, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Monticello on Dec. 1, 1918, to JoelAinsworth and Ida Griffith Ainsworth.

She was a homemaker, and a member of First United MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joseph C.Swilley; five sisters; and one brother.

Survivors are her daughter, Sarah Swilley Nevels of Brookhaven;her grandchildren, Sarah Johanna Russell and Stevie Lanell Nevels,both of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
