Billy Poole

Services for Billy Poole of Springfield, Mass., formerly ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at St. Mark MissionaryBaptist Church with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon-7 p.m., with family hour from 7-8p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Poole, 54, died Nov. 15, 2003, in Springfield, Mass. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Dec. 31, 1948, to Willie Poole and ShelliePoole.

He was a concrete cutter for Witch Enterprises. He was a 1968graduate of Alexander High School, and was a member of St. MarkMissionary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his daughters, Deana Poole and Crystal Montgomery,both of Springfield, Mass.; his son, Keith Poole of Raleigh, N.C.;his sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and Michael Batiest ofJackson; and his brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Ronnie andRita Poole of Brookhaven.

Beverly Ann Rau

Services for Beverly Ann Rau of Lansing, Mich., are 11 a.m.,Monday, Nov. 24, at Faith Wesleyan Church with graveside servicesat 2 p.m., in Oakland Hills Cemetery. Services will be conducted bythe Revs. Joel Gorveatte, Bill Lawson and Dave Swink.

Visitation is Sunday from 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., atGorsline-Runciman Company Funeral Directors and Counselors EastChapel, and Monday from 10-11 a.m., at the church.

Mrs. Rau, 58, died Nov. 19, 2003. She was born in Detroit,Mich., on Sept. 28, 1945, to Roland Nations and Geneva BarfootNations.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimber Lee and JohnGuzik, Dawn Marie and Tom Coogan, Karen Elizabeth and DennisRaymond, Corrie Colleen and Elias Amon, and Kristen Jean Rau; herbrother, Roland Nations; seven grandchildren; and numerous cousinsand friends.
